Maddy Cristall is a dedicated producer and writer who thrives on telling bold, unexpected, and deeply human stories—whether through unscripted television, scripted projects, or her latest dive into publishing. Most recently, she wrapped story producing an explosive, untold docuseries for Paramount+, set to air in 2025—an eye-opening, unpredictable story that will shock viewers in the best way. Before that, she helped shape Extracted, a high-stakes survivalist series airing on Fox and CTV, where resilience, strategy, and sheer willpower collide in extreme conditions.
Never one to slow down, Maddy also completed a young adult short book, weaving humor, heart, and the complexities of growing up into a story she hopes will resonate. Juggling TV production and writing has been a balancing act—one she embraces with enthusiasm (and a slightly concerning reliance on coffee).
With years of experience in development and production, Maddy has played a key role in shaping unscripted series at Tyson Media and Fireworks Entertainment, specializing in research, casting, and crafting compelling narratives. Her writing has appeared on CBC, Disney+, and Network Entertainment, spanning everything from documentaries to scripted projects.
Outside of production, Maddy is the founder and editor-in-chief of Citrus Magazine, a platform dedicated to amplifying fresh voices, and the creator of Pulp Publicity, a boutique PR firm that helps storytellers bring their work into the spotlight. She has also worked as a script supervisor for CBC Gem, Crave, and Knowledge Network, ensuring that every project she touches maintains its creative integrity.
Armed with a master’s degree in journalism from the University of British Columbia, Maddy is always searching for the next great story to tell. Currently, she’s developing another unscripted docuseries for an international platform, continuing her commitment to crafting narratives that captivate, challenge, and inspire.
